Summer Dreamcicle

Happy Summer everyone!! Mine officially started today, and so I celebrated by breaking out my favorite eyeshadow color, ORANGE!!  To make this look even more summery I used colors from the 88 Ultra Shimmer palette. I, also, finished up my overall look using many of Sedona Lace's amazing products! I hope you find this fun and useful and let the summer fun begin!!!!

 

I first primed my eyes using a tinted primer and then taking my EB 09, I ran a very bright tangerine color all through the crease and down under the lower lash line.  I didn't worry about blending yet, I will tackle that once all the bright colors are placed.

With the #941 I used a golden, yellow and placed that on the lid and inner half of the lower lash line.

I wanted definition, so I added a black to the outer "V" of the eye with the EB 21.  I didn't want this to be super dark, so after I placed the color, I blended the first tangerine color over top with the EB 09 to diffuse the black but keep the definition.

 

For my highlight, I wanted a matte color, because the rest of the eye is so shimmery and fantastic.  I used a skin tone color from the 88 matte palette.  This palette has a huge array of skin tone colors. You can also find a large selection of skin tone shades in the 88 warm palette, as well. 

 

Lastly, for the eyes, I added two coats of blue mascara, because IT'S SUMMER!!  

 

For the rest of the face, I used the EB 13 and a very light concealer to conceal under my eyes.

I worked my foundation in using the #480 Synthetic round top powder brush.  You could pick and choose with your eyes closed any of the Midnight Lace face brushes and you'd still get amazing foundation results.. they are amazing.I worked powder over the top with a dual fiber #813 and with that same brush, I used the color Sunstone from the Bridgette palette as my face highlight.  If you like a blingy, in your face highlight like I do, I highly recommend trying this shadow as your highlighter. 

The last steps were a bright orange cheek on a FB 05 and a very pale coral lip gloss and I was done and ready to enjoy the weather outside.

Bold Gold

Happy Hump Day!! Today's look is more dramatic, gold look using the 88 matte palette.  I hope you like the look.

The first thing I did was used a cream shadow that is about the same shade as my skin on my eye.  This helps to conceal the veins and redness that I have on my eye.  I then took a gold cream shadow and placed over the entire lid using the EB 11.

With the #305 I used the gold color and ran it all over the lid and then blended it thoroughly using the EB 09.

With the same EB 09, I ran a matte medium toned brown color through the crease to help blend all the colors and shades.

With a #904 pencil brush and a mixture of the darkest brown and black shade in the palette, I focused it into the very outer "V" area and the outer 1/3 of the crease to create some drama.

The last shadow I used was a matte, cream color on a EB 13 as my highlight color and blended this color into the crease colors, making sure to blend out any harsh lines.

The last step was to line the upper and lower waterlines with a creamy black pencil.  With the same pencil, I lined the upper lashline and smudged the liner out with the #904.  I then added 3 coats of mascara.  There just isn't too much mascara in this look.

Sparkly Spring

Hello everyone!!  Today's look started as just a purple smokey eye and then got festive with some chunky purple glitter.  I hope you like the look.  It uses the 88 matte palette and your favorite glitter.

The first thing I did, was put down a matte skin tone colored cream base that counteracted the redness on my lid (you could use a concealer)and then set it with an eyeshadow that matches my skin tone.

 With the EB 09, I applied a very deep purple to the outer corner of the eye and then blended inward.  You get a natural gradient blend this way.  I ran this color under the entire bottom lid, as well.

 To deepen the crease, I took the EB 13 and the brightest purple in the palette and ran it just through the outer portion of the crease.

Now you could stop here, pop two coats of mascara on and call it a day, but I thought it needed some shimma.  So with my favorite glitter glue and glitter I adhered the purple glitter to my lid using the EB 11.

Two coats of mascara, black tight line, and white waterline complete the look.

J-Lo Glow

Hello everyone today we will be looking on a fabulous look to channel our inner diva. We all know Jennifer Lopez is known for her dewey and super glowy skin. One of the looks we will be doing is one similar to her video on the floor.

We will be using the 88 Matte Palette to achieve this look.

We will begin by priming the eye lid with a flesh tones base and adding this matte white shade to both the inner corner and brow bone.

Next this taupe shade all over the lid.

We will define the crease with the slighter darker shade to add some dimension and slightly cut the crease.

We want to keep defining the outer "V" to give a more winged eye effect.

Use a white eyeliner gel to line the water line. We ant to add the same dark brown to the lower lash line as well.

J-Lo is loves her nude lip and we also want to be contour and highlight for the glowy effect.

No Makeup Makeup

Happy weekend everyone!! Today's look is for those who want a face full of makeup without looking like they have much or any on at all.  I am using my 88 matte palette to achieve a no makeup makeover.

I first started by priming my eyes with a light concealer from the 10 color concealer palette. I then powdered over the concealer with the EB 13 setting a base for the shadows.

Then using the EB 09, I set a wash of color into the crease.  It's important to use matte colors that err on the side of cool to create a "natural" shadow to the eye.

To add some dimension to the look, I took a slightly darker shade with the EB 15 and added just to the crease line, only going about 1/3 in.  If you want to keep it really natural you can skip this step.

One very thin layer of mascara completes the eyes.  For the rest of the face I went in with the #928, I buffed in my foundation.  Really taking my time and working it into the skin.  This synthetic flat top brush is perfect for getting a nearly airbrushed look with any foundation. I then added a very pinky cream blusher to the tops of the cheekbones with the #480.  When you use a rounded brush like this one you can really work the color in so it gives off the impression of health and not blush. I then powdered using my Midnight Lace kabuki and really buffed the powder into the products already on the face.  If you'd like a little more color, which I did, I added a powder blush in a soft pink from the 28 Blush palette to the outer portion of the cheeks using the #602. The angle makes for a perfect application.
