Blues to fight the Blues

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend is going great!! We've had wild storms and so to fight off the gloomies I went for a something bright and the blues in the 78 color eyeshadow palette are so vibrant I had to play with them today.

I began by priming my eye with two colors of cream eyeshadow.  I used a shimmery white for the inner corner, top and bottom and a blue for the outer portions.

I then took the #305 and placed the bright blue all over the blue cream shadow.  I didn't worry too much about blending, that gets taken care of a little later.

With the same brush I placed a matte white over the shimmery white base and blended into the blue on the lid and took the blending into the crease area.

With the amazing EB 15, I used a gray shade to blend the crease further and really diffuse the next color that will go through the crease.

With the #904, I took the darkest blue and placed it into the outer "V" of the eye and blended it under the eye and through the crease.

For the last step I took, the same blue color on the EB 23 and lined the top of the lash line to define the area.

Two coats of mascara and a blush and gloss from the palette and your ready to take on the gloomy day!

Gradient Green

Hi everyone!! I have a look today using the 78 color eyeshadow palette.  I played around with the greens and came up with a look with a slight gradient effect with greens.   I used this set of eyeshadows to create the look today.

The first thing I did to get this look rolling, was put down a crease color with the #904 to act as a base.  This will help blend colors through out the entire look.

I then took the #305 to add a darker matte green shade to the lid, leaving a spot open in the inner corner.

To really add some dimension to the look and deepen the entire look, I used the EB 15 and blended the darkest green color into the outer portion of the top lid, into the crease, and also across the bottom lid.

The last shadow that I used was a frosty green, that leans slightly into neon green territory.  I added this into the inner corner using the EB 21.

To coats of mascara and this look is complete.

78 Color Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches Part 1

Hi everyone! Today I’d like to introduce you to the Sedona Lace 78 color eyeshadow palette.  This palette has 60 shadow colors, 6 blush or bronzer colors, and 12 different lip glosses inside it’s sleek, shiny, black case.  The palette is available at SedonaLace.com and cost $19.95.  That is about $0.33 per product included in the palette.   I’m breaking the review and swatches into 2 posts.  Today’s post will focus on the palette and the amazing shadows inside and next will be swatches of the blushes, bronzers, and lip products.

The palette itself features a peekaboo design on the outside with 5 of the 6 individual sections visible.  The Sedona Lace logo is front and bottom center of the palette.   The individual sections contain 10 shadows, 1 blush or bronzer, and 2 lipglosses.  Each of the 6 sections are detachable and the palette comes with a compact with a full size mirror that you can insert any of the sections to take with you.  This makes this palette ideal for travel, it’s small size is perfect to throw in your clutch for a night out.

The shadows are nice and soft, but not crumbly.  They are highly pigmented and most verge on a creamy consistency.  There is a nice array of colors and textures to choose from.

Onto the Swatchfest

I hope you found this helpful and my next post will have swatches and reviews featuring the blushes and lipglosses found in this amazing palette. If you have any questions you can email me at beauty@stylefordummies.com.

Until next time!!
