Midnight Smokey Eye

Hello everyone!! In my head I had thought about doing a look using greens, but Cathy's look is soo perfect for St. Patty's Day you really don't need another, so instead I got out my beloved 88 matte palette and started playing in that.  I came up with a very dark smokey eye with a pop of metallic.

The first thing I did was primed my eye with a very dark, matte taupe cream eyeshadow.

I applied that black with a #305, starting at the outer corners of my eyes and patting the color inward. The color slowly fades as you move inward and there is less product on the brush.  You want the majority and the deepest concentration of color on the outer part of the eyelid.  I, also, brushed this color onto the bottom lash line.

With the same brush I took the amazingly pigmented silver color and put it on the inner corners of the top and bottom lid.

I took the EB09 and blended a color that I can only describe as a very pale orangey brown into the crease to add a little warmth back into the look.

With a black gel liner, I lined the upper and lower waterlines and the top lash line.  With the #772 , I smudged the black shadow across the top lash line to work the liner into the overall look. Two coats of mascara completes the look.

I hope you enjoyed the look.  If you have any questions you can email me: beauty@stylefordummies.com, tweet me: @sedonalace_Leah, or you can find more information on this look and others on my personal blog: www.stylefordummies.com.

Until next time!!
